BIGFLO Obliviate MV Review

And Bigflo is back! They are one of the few rookie groups that I have been listening too and I have enjoyed their two comebacks and debut. As far as sound goes, they are still a rookie group even though Jungkyun was a member of N-Train before becoming the leader of Bigflo. And speaking of moving groups I guess there is a new guy? I happened upon his Instsgram account and was really confused but I guess Bigflo stole another member from another K-pop group. Watch out world of K-pop Bigflo is out to steal your members.

Favorite K-Pop of the Year - Debuts 2014

There have been some good debuts this year. I think there were also less debuts than there were last year which is good because man there were a lot of debuts last year and a lot of them weren't that great. Just because you can pump out a group doesn't mean that you should! I was surprised with the amount of groups that I was curious about from their debut song this year. The songs on this list are all over the board as these lists I put together usually are. There is some boy band magic, a little jazz, and a little hip hop sprinkled in for good measure. There is something for everything.

Most of these groups have also had their comeback which I am thankful for. It always makes me sad when my interest is piqued by a group only for them to never see the light of day again. And as usual, whenever I say things about people disappearing forever, I am always brought back to my perpetual sadness brought on by Nevermind. It will be two years this month since their debut song and because nothing official was ever released, I have that crazy person in the back of my mind that says it could happen.

Boarding House #24 - First Impressions

I have been waiting for this to begin! I have never watched a sitcom before, it breaks up all the sageuks that I am watching, and it has Ken and High Top in it, what more could I want right now?

After the initial joy of hearing that two groups that I liked had people in this sitcom, I was then fascinated about the drama itself. It sounds easy enough: six strangers in their mid-twenties come to live together in a boarding house. The trailer and the poster are strangely ominous though, like they are all coming to this house and becoming trapped and so far, that is the vibe that I am getting.

K-Pop Rookies in July

Okay, so maybe that title is a little misleading because one of the groups is actually from June, that's just the way it's going to be though! I don't know what was in the water this month, but there have been some debuts that made me sit up and pay attention. Usually, when I hear a new group, I listen to the song once and if they put out a song in the future maybe I'll be excited to listen to it and get into them more as they figure out who they are as a group. These next groups though, I have actually listened to their songs multiple times on repeat and I bought one of their albums. I don't know what happening to me, I am usually unswayed by the babies!
